Hello! Welcome (back) to The PX Hub! It’s been a couple of busy months, but now we’re officially back on track. If this is your first time visiting The PX Hub, you can read up on what this blog is all about, right here. Yes, more Player Experience content is coming your way!

In the meantime, what’s new?

Madness? This is The PX Hub!

Early September, The PX Hub reached 300 followers on LinkedIn! Perhaps this is not a huge milestone in the grand scheme of things, but it is still worth mentioning. It shows that there’s a demand for the type of content The PX Hub brings, which is of course a great motivator.

Thank you all for the feedback and for showing your support so far! Can we raise it by another 300?

A new base of operations

Goodbye Helsinki. Hello Kotka! The PX Hub has now fully relocated to the charming harbour city, east of Helsinki. The past few months have been mainly preoccupied by the move and a much needed summer break. Bar a few things, the new office has been set up and the first batch of new content is making its way to you as we speak. The next couple of months are going to be interesting. Let’s hope it does not involve shovelling too much snow.

A new logo

That’s right. The PX Hub has a new logo! The old one did not really convey the style I originally intended. It was also plain hideous and about time it got replaced. Let’s face it - mistakes were made. As I did not (and still don’t) possess the skills needed to create stunning logos on my own, I employed a service instead.

I believe the end-result speaks for itself.

A new website

When I kick-started The PX Hub, I was in need of an easy way to publish and share content. Because I would focus mainly on blogs to start out with, Medium seemed the obvious choice. Despite its challenges, Medium has served its purpose. However, I always knew that in time there would be a need to move to a more scalable solution. One where it would be easy to gather different types of content - it would need to act as a central contact point and allow for guest contributions. A hub of sorts.

A few months in, and I can finally share what I have been working on. The PX Hub now has its very own website with all previously released content conveniently collected in one place. And obviously, there’s more to come.

So … what’s to come?

As stated, more blogs on Player Experience will appear over the course of the next few months. I’ve also wanted to try my hand at some other types of content. The Player Experience Content survey I held a few months ago showed some interesting expectations. More on that very soon!

In the meantime, I am kicking-off a newsletter for The PX Hub. You can subscribe right here. No spam. Only PX content delivered straight to your inbox.

That’s about it for this time. With everything that’s been going on, an extended summer break and a whole bunch of “quality-of-life” improvements, it almost feels like a mini-relaunch. So, thanks again for the support! And as always, don’t shy away from providing feedback!

Till next time!
